Jay's does good work in a trustworthy manner, and they make the effort to communicate clearly what is wrong and what it will cost up front so that I can make a logical decision that doesn't wreck my budget. I also appreciate that they speak slowly and clearly when I let them know I have some hearing loss.

I've been going to Jay's for at least 15 years. They know how to diagnose and troubleshoot to fix every problem I've had. I read one earlier review concerning paying for having to pay for a diagnostic check and it has found problems I didn't expect, as a 30 year home mechanic. They are also, to my knowledge, the only place in town with a nationwide 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty on their work and parts as a NAPA service center. They do it right and will try to save you money if you don't need to replace a part.

I think that Jay's is a little on the steep side (in cost) but they leave me with the feeling they will do a thorough job and they take responsibility for their mistakes. That is important to me.

Very impressed! I stumbled across your shop while driving around looking for a place that could do a simple state inspection. The counter staff was great, and this isn't at all mechanic related, but the use of the customized flat screen behind the counter was fantastic. A simple, but very effective use of tech to showcase your specials and services instead of scribbling them on a white board like most shops in the area. I'll definitely be back for future needs beyond the simple inspection.

i actually am glad that i was told about your shop, as a female going to a mechanics shop can be a nightmare but so far you all have been on the up and up and i appreciate that,

My wife and I have been coming to Jay's since we moved to the area in 2012. The owner and his staff are very personable and knowledgeable. I always feel welcome and well taken care of when we come here. There's even been a few instances where I didn't make it in until right before they were supposed to close and they still got me in for an oil change. Keep up the good work guys, we'll see ya in about 3,000 miles or so!

Don't bother making an appointment for a state inspection because you will still wait. Making an appointment at this place is absolutely pointless. Not only did I wait 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, but no one even seemed to care or had any intention of apologizing for the extended wait time that I endured. Once I approached the counter to ask how much longer past my appointment time I would have to wait before my car even got taken back, they proceeded to tell me that it would still be a while longer before my car could be seen. At this point, I left so that I could go get my car inspected by a garage that actually had a sense of urgency and that actually cared about me and earning my business. Thanks for nothing Jay's and for wasting an hour of my time. It's pretty pathetic considering I called at 9:30 am to schedule my appointment for 1:00 pm....If you love wasting your time and being disrespected as a customer please go to this shop to get your car inspected. I will be sure to never recommend this place to anyone I genuinely care about. Actually, I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We do apologize for the scheduling mishap and realize that when errors occur in scheduling it is very unfortunate for our customers and business.
