I took my Ford Platinum F150 in on 26 January and was quoted $1900.00 to repair my brakes, rotors and claimed that my transmission pan was "cracked" There were NO signs of that at all- no leaks or anything! I denied service and took my truck to elsewhere and they told me there was NOTHING wrong with my transmission pan, that the filter was clogged and was a minor fix. I am very disappointed that Jays was not honesty with me. I got my rotors and brakes repaired and the filter unclogged for $1000.00. I will not bring my vehicles back to Jay's and will make friends/family aware of this as well
In response to your review regarding your visit to our shop on January 26th, we regret if there was a miscommunication, but we indicated on your 30 Point Courtesy Inspection that your windshield was cracked. We did not indicate that there was a crack in the transmission pan or anything wrong with it. Regarding the transmission pan, we indicated that fluid was leaking around the pan and we suggested that we pull the transmission pan and replace the gasket and filter and do a transmission flush. We also indicated the necessity of front and rear brake pads and rotors and the possibility of replacing the parking brake shoes (which we would not be able to determine until we got further into the job) Based on these findings, we do not feel that we were dishonest with you in any way. Our shop is a second-generation owned shop that has been in business for 41 years and we feel our integrity has played a large part in our long-standing relationship with the community.
